Reflecting at the end of the course.
My experince in this class was a interesting and fun experince. I experimented with my skills at a lot of different style of art, I found that I was good with some and struggled with some projects like the printing picture project and the untraditional self protrait. I had a lot fun with the clay and the junk scultpure. This year I had practiced at looking artworks from different point of view and that is something that i will have with me forever. I may bit use art in my career, but I practiced my ability of looking things from different point of view, and that can apply to nearly any situations.

Thinkng about the use of lights in art
Light have been a huge role in my life, since I am deaf, they are like "sounds" for the nature, I notice carefully how lights are displayed in a landscape. Lights and shades are used in many art to show tones and to emphasis objects in it. It could symbolize feelings, like anger, sadness, hapiness, and joy.

I am passionate, active, and complex.
I am passionate about my activities which include mountain biking, snowboarding, sailing and reading. I am complex because I have dual parts to my complex personality, as you can see by the flags representing my ancestry (British and German), my soft and tough sides, and my quiet and active sides. I love the thrill of mountain biking and snowboarding at the same time I love reading, and playing with dogs. I also love the outdoors, especially sailing across the ocean during summers and zooming through forests during winters while relaxing indoors and reading all year.
I used the bold colors of the flags for the background of my work of art while it shows my family's background. I also intentionally put objects beyond the edges of the paper to show my risk taking side where I go beyond limits.

Reflecting on self-protrait progress.
We explained and discussed our portraits in class, all of us did not finish our projects, so we shared our plans for it. We liked eachother's projects and gave eachother some feedbacks, they told me to finish it and maybe expand the drawing, and add more snow to the picture. I needed to do that and finish it by adding my picture, and the drawing of a sailboat as well the drawing of books and dogs. I estimate that I would need at least three more classes to complete my project.

Why Do People Make Art?
People make art for many reasons. One way to express feelings is to create art. Some artists show their emotions by using different tones, colors and materials. The artwork can be interpreted by the viewer who sees sadness, excitement, calm or chaos. People also share stories and ideas through their art. Some people like the cave men wished to record events that showed their way of life by painting on cave walls. Artists can inspire and entertain people. Art can motivate people to do something or think of something. Seeing a beautiful panting of vast mountains can motivate you to travel or mountain climb while a photograph of WWII may make you think about loss during wartime. Art also is used as a symbol of religious beliefs. In many churches, you can see stained glass windows, statues, carvings, and painting on ceilings. This art inspires people to think about their religion and to feel its power. Art is also used to decorate places such as homes or offices and make these places more pleasant. Lastly, to some people, creating art is fun.

Reflecting on the 4 Hour Project.
I was the only person to do the still life drawing with the charcoal background. My technique was different than others because I had to draw backwards, using an eraser. I have to make the general shapes of the objects at first and then use a charcoal and chalk make the shapes to look real life like. I also used a lot of shading technique to make the objects 3- Dimensional. I had a hard time with proportions of the objects halfway through, I have to redraw some objects. It was sometimes frustrating. I did not complete it. I was happier with my former work, the one the class did together than this one. Firstly, I did not complete this drawing yet. If I had more time I'll be happier.˙
